    Leaking Radiator Bleed Valve

We’ve noticed a very slight leak coming from the bleed valve in one of our upstairs radiators. It only leaks when the heating is off which makes sense as it obviously expands when it’s warm and seals the leak. The leak appears to be coming from the bottom of the hexagonal nut where it goes...

    Cracked Kitchen Floor Tiles

No haven’t lifted any up as there isn’t any physical movement and they’re grouted in. The cracks are hairline so nothing is loose. We’ve got a tiler/plumber coming to have a look at the weekend see if he can shed any light on it.

    Cracked Kitchen Floor Tiles

Hi Ken. The cracking tiles are some distance from the appliance and aren’t near a radiator. The nearest appliance is a couple of meters away and is the dishwasher but we’ve had the kick board down and looked underneath the dishwasher and it’s completely dry. The same goes for under the sink...

    Cracked Kitchen Floor Tiles

Good evening Ken It doesn’t look like there’s a leak - we turned the mains water off today for several hours and the meter reading didn’t change. Additionally we left the mains on afterwards but didn’t use anything that draws water and again the meter readings didn’t change. The tiles that...

    Cracked Kitchen Floor Tiles

We noticed after arriving back from a weekend away that the ceramic floor tiles in the kitchen are making a crunching/cracking sound when we walk on them. They were fine before we went away. Also, the grout in between some of the tiles has cracked and a couple of the tiles have hairline cracks...

    Carpet Beetle/Woolly Bear Problem

Appreciate the replies. We found what we think was the source behind the bed. The room has been thoroughly powdered with the Rentokill stuff and sprayed as well. Whilst the quantity appears to be dwindling we're still finding some around the house mainly upstairs and down the stairs. The plan...

    Carpet Beetle/Woolly Bear Problem

Bit of an odd request but I wondered if anyone could give me any suggestions on this. For the last week or so we've been finding woolly bears (carpet beetles) on one specific side of the bedroom and in the last day in the downstairs toilet. So far we've put carpet beetle powder around the...

How to disable entry beeps on Castle Euro Mini?

Ah right. I will contact them. I don't pay the annual maintenance though so I'll have to figure out a way to get them to give me the code.

How to disable entry beeps on Castle Euro Mini?

A local alarm company installed it a couple of years ago. If I enter what they told me was the engineer code after pressing d it just lets me scroll through with exactly the same options as if I'd entered the user code. If I enter the engineer code from the home screen that shows the time...

How to disable entry beeps on Castle Euro Mini?

If the sounder could be programmed to a lower volume that would probably work great. I have the engineers code. Is it a straightforward thing to change?

How to disable entry beeps on Castle Euro Mini?

We've got a Castle Care Tech Euro Mini alarm system. It's configured so that it emits entry delay countdown beeps if the hallway PIR is activated to give us time to disarm it. Does anyone know if it's possible to delay the countdown beeps at all? It doesn't matter too much about the beeps...

Water dripping constantly through tundish in airing cupboard

I spoke to my plumber/heating engineer. Top bloke. He suggested trying to reset/replenish the air gap first - said I'd need to find out how to do this but it might resolve the problem. Failing that he was happy to have a look. He is G3 qualified also.
