This is the screw that I was going to use with the washers, would they be ok or not & should I use the washers with it or just on it’s own?

I've got some round head screws which are pretty much the same size can I use these with the washers supplied to attach the bracket to the ceiling? Or without the washers which would you suggest?

No the fan will not be going just on plasterboard I've added a timber that is attached to the joist which it will go onto.

Putting up a ceiling fan & I obviously have live earth & neutral to put my wires into which I know the black wire goes into the neutral which has a blue coming out the other side the earth obviously into the earth but the live which is my red wire the other side has a brown & red wire coming out...

I need to board this ceiling, there’s a fan going onto that timber so my plan is add a timber each side of that to screw new board to. Do I have to screw the timber to joists or just put it on with the drywall screws to board?

Managed to get it out with some vise grips.

I can’t get it out or tighten it in no bit fits.

I can’t seem to get a grip on the screw with the pliers.

I’m hanging a ceiling fan & have put the bracket on with the two screws. One of them is almost screwed in fully but has stripped before I could how can I tighten the rest of this up it was quite tight as I was screwing hence the reason it stripped.

Is it an issue if I just screwed it in the timber & left it with part of the screw coming out the other end of the timber?
