    Furniture / bar Plans ?

Hi does anybody have detail drawings for bench garden seating? I want to build some basic seating into an L shape in the corner of my decking, which I can eventually top with custom made cushions. Also would anybody have plans for a basic home bar counter with built in shelves. I could...

    Felt underlay - Why?

Thanks for your informative reply Alan. It now winds me up that after spending 2 grand on a summerhouse with quick gardens, they only supply it with roof felt and don't mention what you have suggested. Also I have had to add firrings to give it the 1in50 fall otherwise there would have been...

    Felt underlay - Why?

Why would you use underlay underneath shed felt? just a curiosity as a few people have suggested it, and not said why. Also if applied properly, why won't one layer of felt do the job on a large shed roof? Some people are saying there should be 2 or 3 layers. That would make the folds at...

    Waterproofing under felt?

I've just been thinking about that. I was originally going to lay it lengthways in 4 long pieces with overlaps between each, bonded with felt adhesive. However I now think laying it across the direction of flow would be better but would mean more joins Should I lay under felt ?

    Waterproofing under felt?

Hi, I'm in the process of building a 5x3m summerhouse. It is in kit form and I am just at the roof stage. The roof is constructed of 20mm tongue and groove planks which is then to be coated in felt. The slope of the roof is 1 in 50 along the length (5m) and I am wondering would it be a...

Garden Building with totally flat roof

Run Firrings along the joists or at 90 degrees to? I couldn't run them at 90 degrees to, as the planks will sit in that direction. the joists are 5m long and I only have about 150mm to play with before I hit the 2.5m max height without planning permission.

    Dip in Block paved drive

The drive has been down around 20yrs with no issue whatsoever but that really bad winter we had about 2/3 yrs ago (well it was v bad up here in the N.E) and we had compacted ice and snow on the drive for about 3 weeks, it happened after that, during the thaw. My neighbour has a similar dip...

    Dip in Block paved drive

Hi, How would I go about bringing this dip in my driveway (which occurred a couple of winters ago) back to a somewhat level surface without lifting the whole drive and relaying?? I am suspecting that this may not be possible. The area shown is a radius of around a metre, maybe a bit less...
