    Hi all im slightly concerned that ive chanelled too much thermalite block out. Its about 50mm for a shower valve. The channel on the right side can be filled in as that isnt needed now. Should I be worried and should I fill in with a mortar mix?

    I was channelling out today and came across a thin metal wire. After shtting myself and reminding myself I wasn't on the floor with my hair on end it appeared to be a bit of galvanised metal. Interested to know what this is for if anyone knows or if it was just left there from build.
