    Ok thanks for all your help. I’ve not missed putting anything back. Also, one thing that did happen is the micro switch got a bit wet when I removed it from valve. Could this have made it short when powered up?

    So today I have no hot water not heating side is fine. I have a Worcester 24cdi combi. So after a bit of advice that it’s probably the diaphragm on the diverter valve I set about replacing it. 8 hrs later and wat a b***h of a job that was!     hi I have a hoover washing machine model number DYN8164D2X that made a slight grinding noise when spinning and then gave me an error code 08 at the end of the cycle. Had a look on the net and it says Tacometer or Brushes?? Any help?

    Thanks again. The slab has been poured today. It will be at least 4 weeks till I can start on the floor. If I apply the dpm does that not stop all moisture coming through to plywood?
