Hanging lining paper around difficult areas

As above, splice the paper. Lining paper is a dream to work with (once you get used to it). Image #2, if the wall is out square, no problem, just splice the paper. In the above scenario, let's assume that you are working from left to right- as you get to the return, you may find that you...

how much is this property worth in rent?

Yeah, you clearly have a problem with them. That is obvious from your video. I am not saying that you have no reason to be pee'd off with them though. Apologies, this site get spammed frome time to time. I am a decorator, from memory, you had some general builders and electricians reply to your...

how much is this property worth in rent?

Having looked at the youTube channel, one video in particular makes me think that the OP is not affiliated with Mark Brearley & Co. Why do I think that? Erm, the following video accuses them of ripping off tenants... and then calls them Hitler. Were I to guess, perhaps the OP has a gripe...

    Hole in Floorboards

Lifting the boards might be problematic. The floorboards seem to be tongue and groove.

how much is this property worth in rent?

Sorry, I am confused, you are a property consultant (as is evidenced by the logo in your video). https://markbrearley.co.uk Why do you need people in a "DIY" forum to offer you advice with regards to the rentable value of a pub? I have no idea what the property is worth, best of luck though.

BoschSeries 2 fridge door left open - no longer gets cold enough

Well done for checking it. It reduces the number of possible problems. I would recommend posting your question to the UK white goods forum (telling them what you have done thus far). https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/forums/forum/public-support-forums/help-and-support/fridge-and-freezer-forum...

cars blocking access to a garage.

It isn't private land though. The estate was probably mainly council when built. That would have been in the 80's. Since then, I would guess that it is now 80-90% owner occupied. AFAIK, the council are responsible for road repairs, meaning that it is not private land. In the entrance to the...

cars blocking access to a garage.

Many thanks. I don't want to grass the car owner up... but... I will spend 30 mins to go there and leave a non-confrontational note asking them to leave space such that garage owners can gain access. Again, thank you.

cars blocking access to a garage.

Hi all. A family friend has a garage in a row of garages. Occasionally, people will park in front of the garage, so near that she cannot open the up and over garage door. From memory, if they were to park at least 600mm away the door could be opened. The garage is used for storage. It is...

BoschSeries 2 fridge door left open - no longer gets cold enough

With respect, you really need to remove that white back cover. Run a hair drier over it for a few minutes. If it seems to be stuck, use the hair drier for a bit longer. It will help you to narrow down the possible fault. Checking the drip tray really isn't going to help if there is a massive...

Can i add hardware so i can upgrade to windows 11?

That's a tad unfair. The likes of Ubuntu are user friendly. You can install free software such as Thunderbird (for email) and GIMP (for image creation). Personally, I prefer the likes of Adobe and MS Office, but they are not free and not compatible with any of the Linux variants.

Can i add hardware so i can upgrade to windows 11?

There are "work arounds" but the jury is out with regards to future updates. I have a lovely Dell XPS13 (i7, touchscreen, SSD) running w10. It says it is not compatible with W11. Fortunately, because I have office 365, I was able to get an additional year of security updates. Kinda hoping that...

Opinions on robot lawmowers - so many to choose from

I don't have a dog in this fight, but the lesser expensive units (with the wire boundary) randomly go around the lawn. They hit the boundary wire and then go off at an angle. Which ones can do the lines? Sorry, although the woman in your video is very easy on the eye, I am in the pub and didn't...

Opinions on robot lawmowers - so many to choose from

They are supposed to run frequently- you set the times. In theory, the amount that they cut off on each run is so tiny that it doesn't need to be removed. a friend has a Flymo (Husqvarna).

How urgent is this render job on chimney?

Do not prime with PVA. It re-emulsifies when wet. It might be one of those spray on textured finishes. I would be inclined to use a high build textured paint. To minimise the steps in the paint, you could use Toupret Touprelith F filler and stipple it with a stiff brush...

BoschSeries 2 fridge door left open - no longer gets cold enough

Not my area of expertise... but.. on the occasion that I had to remove the cover, it came off without issue. That said, the door had been let open for an hour or two. The ice on the condenser was caked in ice. The cover came away with no issue. I was then able to use the heat gun to melt the ice.

    Annoying drip on gutter

As per @HERTS P&D post. The vertical downpipe, should run INTO the angled corner (the fatter collar). The other end of the corner should run into the vertical pipe. Your's is the wrong way around. Flip it around and it should be fine.

Which tape with film is good?

They work, but unless you have the dispensing tool, I too would recommend a disposable dust sheet and masking tape. BTW, the tops of wardrobes are often dusty, you may, or may not need to remove the dust to help the tape stick.
