Sorry woody, can you elaborate little please? The other two 'sections' are all Sand but this one closes to camera isn't. But it's 6 inches lower than the other two. I was planning to add a thick weed membrain to all and then cover this closes end with sand?

OK so sounds like a price per m2 sounds like a good idea or maybe a price for whole job but it's likely I may chip in so would rather pay for either their time or piece work. Price for blocks seems to be between 16 - 20 a m2. Any idea what the price for bricks might be?

Sorry Woody if i wasnt clear. The question is regarding insulation below a ridge beam - in this case a Glulam (wood 360mm deep) - is it required? This directly effects the size of the window in the gable end and I want to maximise this window as much as possible. Thanks

Hi all. I have some plans for an extension whihc shows a vaulted ceiling. The ridge beam is a wooden Glulam type. The insulation on the sloping surfaces is 100mm between rafters and 40mm underneath but what about the beam. What would people have under this? I see some beams are exposed so...

Yes but in that the dpm is lower than finished floor height... I guess I would just move it up? Does the dpm go all the way through wall of just tuck in above/below the dpc? Also, the dpm on a beam and block floor doesn't go down until you screed so what do you to to get in wall..? Thanks for help

When you say profile do you mean the extrusion part? Anything wrong with Synseal?
