Terrain was bought out by Polypipe many years ago. They then ran range down and totally discontinued it about 3 to 4 years ago. To be blunt i think your on a hiding to nothing. Maybe email Polypipe and ask if adaptors are available but don't hold your breath!

Absolutely both eph and Danfoss zone valves have micro switch activated when in manual position. As long as your aware its not a problem. We have used a lot of eph stuff for a number of years. Zone valves are cheaper than honeywell, 5 year as against 12 month warranty Heads just click...

Eph zone valves do make on micro switch when in manual position. Power it up and it it will unlatch . Danfoss valves also make on manual but they stay in manual position when powered up. Absolute pain if you forget to unlatch them.

If as you say burner fan is running but no ignition photocell is normal suspect. Not high limit stat they have to be manually reset. Depending on age of your boiler riello did have a problem with photocells we changed quite a few..

I've a customer few villages away who has a Quooker but due to our wonderful hard water she was having it serviced 3 times a year at £230 + vat a go. We have fitted a purpose made filter to it now slowed servicing to once a year.

What complete and utter rubbish! As has been said it's a spring loaded safety valve ! I'm old enough to have installed many. No longer fit them, needs removing and a brass or iron plug in its place. I'd just get some old towels and do it live.
