Ok, thing is, only the bedrrom rads that have TRVs, the rest are like the ones in the pic. I know I need to pop off the cap turn the spindle but just to make sure that by open/closing the valve wont redirect wate out the tailpipes?

I have one radiator in my hall that is not heating up, looking through posts here it could be blocked but also could be a balancing issue which I'll check first. However the valve that has a spigot on it, how do I close that and not redirect water out the tailpipe. Cheers guys.

Don't think my arms could take cutting 3 mtr lengths, not as young as I used to be.

Having to replace some kitchen plinths and only tool I have is a hand saw, I'm not the best at cutting a straight line so an electric tool would be better for me. Used a jigsaw previously but that gave up the ghost a few years back. Don't want to spend too much on it as it would probably be used...

Hi guys, needing advice on which dow 785 (or other make) to use to replace the mouldy silicone on the shower tray. Plastic tray and wet wall. The instructions for the wet wall was don't use any cleaning product that contains bleach, would this have any effect on my choice of sealant. Cheers

Bathroom sink was draining very slowly and after numerous attemps to unclog with a plunger, it didn't work. Took off the P trap and gave it a good clean, reassembled it and was leaking from a nut and the plug. The backnut was broken and one the the seals was warped. The size of the pipe is 1...

Got it sorted, turns out a circlip came off one of the arms and that was the major problem, cable was also off a groove and has a kink in it now, so will have to get that replaced at some point.

The image here shows that the wire is not in the groove like the other side could that be it? *edit* Put the wire back in the groove and that's not it.
