Haven't ever heard anyone say that about Rothenberger torches. In my experience they last about five years, which is pretty good for a tool that's used almost every day

    Gas-Torch recommendation(s)

I think you'll find that it is not I who has had any involvement with the 'Rothenberger Superfire no Rothenberger trigger torch no Nerrad Firejet no Victor Turbotorch no GoSystem Quickpro...' "debate", other than saying that my experience of a GoSystem product makes me reluctant to buy another...

Is there a cut-off date, so when asking for results to be ordered by date, not all are shown? http://www.diynot.com/diy/search/4867551/?q=rothenberger&o=relevance gets 84 results. http://www.diynot.com/diy/search/4867554/?q=rothenberger&o=date gets only 73.

    Radiator will not come on

You don't need to attack the cover with a knife FFS. A pair of grips will pull it off.: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rothenberger-SO5-2204-Water-Pliers-Pieces/dp/B002NKG522

Creating a sealed pipe before plunging

Thanks, I have bought a 7m "snake", but it didn't help, and actually made the issue worse. The water was slowly emptying before, and it's hardly moving now. The issue is that there are several welded bends and also the drain pipe goes for about 3 meters fairly flat (behind kitchen fittings)...
