    Outdoor chair repair

Thanks for all the replies, to summarize I will hardwood dowel (3 X 12mm) and D4 PVA Everbuild glue from toolstation. The two halves sit tight together (dry run) so after I glue it possible to reduce the line of the break that is noticable?

    Outdoor chair repair

Thanks for the replies, I have the "blue"PVA I also have some two part epoxy resin left (used that for gluing the joints) which would you use? I don't think I will dowel it as the break is in an area on the chair that should not get much force. Re; water ingress and fungal stain how do you...

    Zone valve electrics

My existing boiler is a four pipe with internal diverter valve. The cyl.zone valve (240V) opens it's auxiliary switch and the grey and orange wires from the zone valve connect to the boiler's 24V rail to fire the boiler. The connection between the boiler and the cyl zone valve, 9 mts away, is...

    Zone valve electrics

Thanks Ian, It probably explains why Viessmann want a demand box (240V in 24V out) as that box must house the relay you describe. Back in 2002 when I had my boiler installed they didn't bother and it has worked ok ever since.

Advice on what undefloor heating products to use

Thats sounds expensive are they sending screeders and installers to put it in? I have always used "UFH1" a Doncaster supplier, . If you visit their web page and look at their UFH kits I would presume you need the following, One number eight port manifold (six rooms, incl. utility, have one...

Advice on what undefloor heating products to use

That 30mm isn't going to be an issue with air but if you have concerns give the utility it's own loop (circuit) eight port manifold I have had my UFH in use since 2000 with no issues re; water quality (alway keep plenty of inhibitor in the water.) The insulation thickness generally can be...

    UFH TMV

Thanks, Meldrews mate The pipework mods, replicating what is at the manifold, would be after that manifolds zone valve that is sited in the plant room and is marked up to distinguish it from the other heating and DHW zone valves on the primary circuit. The existing TMV(s) have no identification...

Advice on what undefloor heating products to use

Hi, Rob some observations on your thread. The position of the manifold is ok but be mindful of the noise from the pump, valves and pipework (where is the boiler?) My son's is in a plant room in the utility with the boiler and cylinder and there is noise / vibration from pipework that resonates...

    UFH TMV

Thanks Crezzer I have new valve parts that resolve the issue keeping the existing valves in the manifold kits as supplied. To change the TMVs in the manifolds isn't easy because the existing valve bodys are different from alternatives ie, Reliance. There has been issues with the manifold TMVs...

    UFH TMV

I have two number UFH 12 port manifolds supplying the required heating around the house, both manifolds having issues with the TMVs not giving constant water temp causing the heatmiser room stats to cut out on floor overheat. (don't know the manufacture of the valves only the supplier...
