Yes. After I made my post I realised my error. What I meant is that I think thermalite blocks, if they can be rendered, require different rendering techniques than thermalite. But be lighter in the gable, and cheaper. Please let me know can thermalite be rendered ?.

Hi One of the hinge bolts worked loose, and projected by about 7 mm, and it seems to be the grub screw which has worn. Additionally, I think those hinges are vulnerable to attack because of the design. Please let me know if anyone has an idea where I could get upgrades. Please see photos...

Hello. My garden door is UPVC. Two of the hinge screws unwound themselves by about 5 mm. I found that the small locking screws which go in the groove of the bolts have worn out. Where can I get new sets please ?. Please see photos attached. Thank you.

Thanks for all ideas. It will be a cavity wall, bricks on external leaf, so I thought that, like hollow concrete blocks, filled with concrete, engineering bricks would make a stronger wall.

Yes! Handle raises easily. Just checked the door. At the top, it touches the top locking point in the frame. At the bottom there is a gap of maybe 5.0 mm.
