Your screen has a crack it in.
That has disrupted all the thousands of hidden wires in the Screen that control the LED lights that make up the picture.

So as you say the TV is working, the picture is being correctly sent to the screen by the TV, but all you can see is broken images because of the broken wires in the screen.

You might be able to get a new/2nd hand replacement screen to go into your TV, BUT none are available on ebay and anyway would be hard to fit.
So likely better to buy an new TV and put this on ebay starting at a £5 (collection only) and see if anyone else wants it for spares (sorry but unlikely).

Here is a terrible video of a broken screen making similar images to yours.

Thank you for your reply. There are no actual visible cracks, nor any feeling of a disturbed surface anywhere. It is not known to have been struck in its secluded position. Those signs appeared whilst in its present mount and it was working until their appearance. Unless the damage is on some area under the glass screen.

The front glass is not the screen it,s protection for the screen behind, but quite possible to damage screen and leave front glass unmarked,my 50 plasma got hit with a wooden brick , smashed the screen but no damage to outer glass.
Your middle pic shows likely impact point.

As foxhole says, the screen is made up of several layers of glass laminated ontop of each other.
The top layer is softer and tends to stay intact ( as per the video I posted). The lower levels of the glass are more brittle and in your case have been damaged, and it looks like by an impact.

Many thanks. I have learned from your posts. Its for the scrap heap now.

Thank you all.
