The bathroom Hotwater Tap has just started to make a screaching sound when on half way, if I open tap fully it disapears. Any idea of cause?

Hi, we have just had some Plaster Coving fitted in the Hall. I am going to use Emulsion to paint it but do I need to use any Primer or Undercoat? Cheers.

But the toilet that is fitted has the waste outlet pointing to the floor like this one:- And NOT pointing to the wall like this one:- [/img]

I live in a bungalow and the toilet waste goes directly into the floor (and not though the wall). The waste pipe goes into what looks like a clay flange. It is cemented into this pipe(flange) and looks unslightly. How do I go about using a plastic connector? Something like this:-...

I've been renewing some copper pipe in our bathroom(its a bungalow and about 50 years old). For some reason there is what I thought was 22mm copper pipe going to the bath hot water. I took a section of this pipe out and tried to use a 22mm - 15mm reducer. The old pipe is NOT 22mm but smaller...

But how do I get the rows straight? Its not going to look right if I use a straight edge on the one side of the row.

We have a Kitchen Mixer MonoBloc Tap that has started to drip quite badly. Is there anyway that these can be repaired? Tap washers? it a 1/4 turn tap (ceramic disc) Gaz.

I have done wall tiling before but I now need to Tile a Porch Floor. We have bought 120 mm 'imoker' Gres Porcellanato. They are a rustic with uneven(wavy) edges. How do I set the rows out, I cannot use spacers because of uneven edges. Any help will be much appreciated. Gaz.

We are going to have the front block paved later in the year. Someone has told me that sometime this year if someone wants to alter their front garden they will need planning permission?

Just to let you all know that we are still waiting for these windows to be sorted. Phoned and spoke to the DG Company many, many times and to the manufacturer (Pilkington) once but seem to constantly have promises from these people. :(
