Hi,
we have just had some Plaster Coving fitted in the Hall.
I am going to use Emulsion to paint it but do I need to use any Primer or Undercoat?
Cheers.

No Just thin down your emulsion and paint cove with it , this is called a mist coat. Then finish with one or two coats of emulsion a bit thicker.

It's best to use an oil based undercoat this will prevent the emulsion from looking transparent in places, this is also best when covering colours or water marks on walls or ceilings.
