    Washer door lock light flashing. Changed door lock switch but washer still thinks door isnt shut. Took main control board out looks like some soot on some of the components. Is there a common fault with components on the board that i can replace them? Thanks

    Hotpoint WML540 Door Lock Fault

    Yet a few years ago this converstion occurred I have to say that it would be a very strange design if a Door Lock switch fails due to a faulty motor. ( unless the motor is part of the door locking mechanism )
