Hotpoint WML540 Door Lock flashing

The door lock light on my Hotpoint WML540 washing machine started flashing this morning.
The machine will not do anything.
It is only 18 months old!

Remove rear white cover and refit the connections on the pcb. It's in the corner with a white cover on it

I wiggled all the connections and its working a treat.

What causes that. And will it happen again?

Yes a good chance it's crap wiring on the connector block. Vibrations causes it to come loose. tie a cable tie round the block and pcb to hold it tight.
