Hotpoint WML540. Door clicks several times when I hit start.

Hi guys and gals new here!! So for the past week my hotpoint wml540 will make the noise of locking and unlocking several times when I try to start a cycle.. Do you have any idea what this may be??? I appreciate any pointers. Thanks in advance. C
