    What have you bought today?

Cat S... I think/hope because that dent is deep and will have bent the inner wing. After all the Copart fees on top the cost is £6,732. I can't find the same model car for sale on a '23 plate for less than £16k. Obviously this one will always be worth less because of the Cat S marker, but I...

    What have you bought today?

That’s what I’m thinking/hoping needs repairing. Headlight looks ok in the other pictures. Yeah it’s a 2023 car, 10k miles. Yellow sticker is because it’s a hybrid.

    What have you bought today?

Newish car. One less than careful previous owner.

    New floorplan opinions

Not impossible, but with moving the bathroom you will have some underground works that will be needed for your drains.

Thanks for getting back to me. I logged out and in as recommended, which appeared to initially work. However, after accessing the site again today (still logged in) I had a pop up add for Aviva. I am using an iphone 15 if it helps

Anyone started getting these when they come to the site? Random ads for video games etc? I appreciate the site needs to raise income from ads, but these are very intrusive and off putting.

Slow going - my double storey extension build

As mentioned above, over the winter I also had a small refurb job inside the house in the main bathroom. It stated because the floor was looking a bit tatty (it had been in 10 years or so) and I never really like the plastic bath panel. It wasn't terrible, but was looking a bit tired and dated...

    DIY blocked paved drive

Use path clear or similar 6 month weed killer before you start. When you re - sand use No Grow silica sand. I’ve had it down for 3 years and apart from thin line of moss I’ve had nothing grow.

Slow going - my double storey extension build

So some progress has been made with this project, although still pretty slow going to be honest! A busy summer of work/social stuff and a small bathroom refurb have need more of a priority. Probably not the right order for doing things, but the next stage I wanted to complete was the driveway...

    DIY blocked paved drive

As has been said by cdbe - paving expert is the site to visit. It’s not a terrible difficulty job, but it is a physical one. The new edging will be the worst part as you’ll need to break out whatever’s there (if there is any) then dig down to allow for a concrete bed for the edging stones...

    Suspended ceiling unusual framing method

You could use joist hangers, or you could fix some timber to the underside of the rsj using some screws like this to go through the timber and into the flange: https://www.screwfix.com/p/easydrive-phillips-double-countersunk-self-drilling-wing-screws-5-5mm-x-60mm-100-pack/12808 I can’t...

    Suspended ceiling unusual framing method

Some self tapering screws into an RSJ will not affect it’s strength or integrity.

    Tesla sales crash

I’ve got no dog in this fight, but being impressed with how someone goes about doing something is not the same as claiming that they are accurate in what they do. Setting targets are not the same as predicting sales. There should be some correlation, but equally it could just be setting stretch...

    Tesla sales crash

It's only really a problem with going around roundabouts (which our friend Elon doesn't have many of in the US of A) as your hand isn't where the indicators are when it comes to signalling to leave the roundabout. I just adopt the BMW driver approach (I.e. don't bother indicating). :D

    Tesla sales crash

They’ve removed the stalks and put all the controls on the steering wheel instead, including the indicators.

    Tesla sales crash

You get used to it pretty quick to be honest, but you can buy aftermarket stalks if you want it. I didn’t find the performance of the performance model enough of a step up from the long range model to warrant the extra cost/loss of range.
