Hi, just so I'm sure before I order. I have a bathroom basin with a 1 1/4" waste fitting and I want to order a bottle trap. The traps are listed as 32mm or 40mm is this measurement just for the waste pipe connection and the basin waste fitting will be 1 1/4" for both the 32 and 40mm versions...

We have another shower but closer to the hot water cylinder which gives a good flow etc so if I can match that I'd be happy. Back to the pipe diameter, 22mm or 28mm any other thoughts re the length of run V's diameter?

I would have liked to have taken the shot form further away but I simply couldn't due to the wall.

Are you sure, the immersion heater boss is on the top of the cylinder and about 7cm across where as this one is on the side of the cylinder about 6cm down from the start of the dome and feels about 3.5cm across?

When you say a seperate supply to the shower do you mean the cold or hot and if hot where from? Also would a check valve between the cold water tank and the connection for the shower (hot feed) prevent air being sucked back towards the shower?

There is a problem of a chimney breast which will limit where I can put the new opening. That’s why I had the new dividing wall inline with the centre of the arch, to maximise the en-suite width. I could end up with a corridor wider than the en-suite! I'll get my tape measure out once some...
