Repairing telephone wiring and junction boxes.

I don't think this is correct. PSTN is being ended by the end of 2025. Internet will still be delivered by VDSL (SOGEA) after that time, albeit without the PSTN service. This will still be copper pair to street cabinet DSLAM then fiber to exchange. Landline phone if required will be provided by...

    Hob Connection Query

Please reterminate that line conductor. It looks as if it's barely under the screw, let alone under the clamp. It should be under the square metal bit which is released by the screw. Like you N conductor is.

    Understanding Solar Panel Meter Readings

Generally solar systems will not generate at all unless they can synchronize with the grid. This is to stop them working in a power cut and back feeding the grid. Unless you have a small scale DC battery system (the kind you would have in a camper van etc) then it is probably connected to the...

Can anyone tell me exactly what this is under a manhole cover?

Certainly fits being a three phase mains supply, the colour's are correct. But what are those fittings on the end? I've never seen anything like that before. The way the bright metal tapers down to the fitting, could it be hoses, hydraulic or some such?

    Garage RCD Intermittant Tripping

Why have you replaced a Hager RCD with a BG RCD? Consumer units are type tested with same manufacture parts. (Unless of course BG is rebranded Hager).

    Day rate advice

And what's wrong with that? Too many people think nowadays that profit is an evil word and no one should make a profit. Its this "own benefit of expanding the business with maximum profit" that's the reason the electrician is doing the work.
