    Condense pipe into soil pipe.

I am doing a refurb and heating engineer is fitting a new boiler in new location. We are thinking where condense pipe should go and route it should take. There is a soil pipe we have fitted under the stairs which is next to the Boiler room. Is it possible to attach onto this? What’s the best way

    Waterproofing a standard install

Hi I’m doing a bathroom fit. On floorboards and brick skimmed walls. Shower bath basin and toilet. the floors I’ll use hardie backer. for the walls I have used tanking kits in the past. I presume this is overkill? Should I just buy the tape which goes between the bath edge and under tile...

    Backer board for floor

Hi. what’s the best value backer board for floors on a bathroom 1) needs to be water proof. 2) we don’t have under floor heating. 3) would be on floors boards. Hence if it can offer extra stability the better I would typically go for hardie backer 6mm. I wanted to see if there’s any good...

Boiler has side clearance but has pipes

While your here. You advised me on a boiler for rental. We went for the intergas 24 xclusive. I’m just into the warranty and stuff. 12 years with a filter. Thanks for the help. I know you said rapid. But I save a bit of money on the thermostat rf reciever and the extra waranty just made it worth...

Boiler has side clearance but has pipes

A friend fitted a intergas combi through a gas safe engineer. I noticed it does have 10mm clearance as per instructions. However there is some pipe work in this clearance. does this mean it’s not been fitted properly and hence any waranty claim would invalidate?

    Rock wool under floorboards sparsely

Hi. I am doing a rennovation. Planning to keep original floorboards. The Electrition and plumber has opened a few floorboards. Is it worth where they are lifted that I put rock wool under them? While we are here. For a renter property I am doing a refurb. What combi. 7 Rad’s, 1 bath/shower . Is I have mains supply of 18lpm should I get a 40kwh combi

I’m probably not phrasing my self properly. A previous 2 installer said would need to condensate with a pump to a drain pipe as we didn’t have a drain nearby. While the recent installer said we didn’t (and we can just use existing drain off point- changing it to plastic) - not sure why he said...

Is I have mains supply of 18lpm should I get a 40kwh combi

I am am edging towards the ncb 40kw. (The scheme we have access to don’t cover intergas) however only think is it’s only 7 years. WB life style has 12 years, but I presume you never mentioned this due to its lack of/poor open therm support?
