Texecom Premier Elite - Home Assistant Integration

Sorry, just noticed this, so sorry for the delay. If you're not already up and running, I'd recommend the thread on the HA forums for support on this: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/texecom2mqtt-texecom-alarm-panel-and-mqtt-integration-with-ha-support/ It should be pretty straight...

Magnetic gate lock from Texecom PSU200XP

Hi all, I have a Premier Elite 48 + PSU200XP expansion. I would like to add a magnetic gate lock (the smaller of the two versions) to the expansion so that I can secure a side gate when one of the alarm areas is set. According to the PSU200XP docs, the 12v output is protected by a 1.6A fuse...

    Texecom Part Set Question

FWIW, I went down a similar path with my setup. After a few dead ends which were cumbersome to use (with resultingly low WAF!) I ended up with two areas ("house" and "outbuildings") which are set completely independently. Each has a different part-set configuration (e.g. garage armed, sheds...

Cutting tiles around sockets without a table saw

Thanks all - bought a diamond angle grinder blade from screwfix (it's my garage - speed over perfection!) and it worked a treat, with minimal chipping of the tile surface. Quite sure that a proper saw, or even a jigsaw, might give better results, but the angle grinder is doing the job for me...

Cutting tiles around sockets without a table saw

The tile cutter is actually surprisingly cheap. I'm still not going to get one as I've only got this bit to do, but would certainly invest if I had more to put down. Angle grinder it is and we'll see how it goes!

Cutting tiles around sockets without a table saw

Thx. Reckon this will do the job? https://www.screwfix.com/p/erbauer-tile-diamond-tile-blade-115-x-22-23mm/14120

    Choosing a new intruder alarm

I also had an Accenta G4 and replaced it earlier this year with a Texecom Premier Elite, swapping out the controller and keypads, while maintaining all of the original sensors, sounders and wiring. The Texecom is a superb piece of kit and was relatively straightforward to install - from a wiring...

Cutting tiles around sockets without a table saw

Hi all, First-time tiler here! I'm using a few boxes of spare tiles to create a backing to my garage worktop and sink. Going well so far (IMHO!) but I can see trouble hoving into view in the form of the wall sockets... I've watched a few videos, and all seem to use an expensive, job-specific...

Texecom Smart Com issued resolved - why did it happen?!

Mildly unrelated, but Texecom Cloud is now offering me a 3.02.xx update for my SmartCom. No idea what's changed, so stuck with the 3.01.xx release which fixed my own issue.

    How to reset Texecom Smartcom

Nothing especially clever, I'm afraid - I use Home Assistant and route all of the alarm functionality through this, with alerts (e.g. alarm sounding) routed through HA and another notification platform. This allows me to control the alarm locally and remotely, and interface to the individual...

    How to reset Texecom Smartcom

Now that's an interesting thought... I've since power cycled the Connect module (unplugged it from the main panel) and it's booted straight back up with the cloud icon solidly on, despite not being configured to do so in the panel. Wonder if it now just connects by default regardless of what...

    How to reset Texecom Smartcom

Slightly odd request here. My alarm has a Texecom Smartcom which I use locally to interface with Home Assistant as part of my home automation platform. I do not use Texecom's cloud service or app, preferring to use my own which is somewhat more sophisticated ;-) Normally my Smartcom is not...

Two DualTech detectors face to face?

I didn't actually know that they could interfere. Learn something every day! By way of a mild hijack, my room has the following configuration with two KX15DT in the locations shown below, each one aligned at about 45 degrees. Both detectors are mounted at the same level (just below the joists)...

    Garage roller door contacts.

Will do (and yes, good spot of toolstation's finest!). TBH though, it's working now and I can't see it failing so it'll probably stay as it is. I didn't want to screw into the door laths, so the screws go into the spacer which is bonded to the door with some permanent double-sided tape. Not a...

    Garage roller door contacts.

FWIW, the large industrial sort (pictured above) which I bought was just too big for my domestic-scale door. Instead, I 3d printed a mount to go on the bottom door lath which matched the concave profile of it and brought a conventional door contact out far enough to meet the reed switch mounted...

Adding 8XP to a Texecom Elite panel - power off or not?

Hi all, Just about to add an 8XP to my Premier Elite 48 panel and I note the following from the manual: Before connecting keypads, zone expanders and output modules, isolate ALL power from the control panel (AC Mains & Battery). Do not continue if there is still power present on the control...

Setting part arms up on texecom

One thing I found very useful is that you can set an option to "flip" a zone from timed to guard (or vice versa) when in part set. This lets you (for example) have a timed entry door when the alarm is fully set, but make that door an immediate alarm when you part set the alarm at night so that...

    Hikvision - replacement NVR

Ta. Will probably get around to playing over the weekend. I doubt I'll be able to have it completely off (it's quite dark around the back of the house), but judging by how clear it is at 50 (looks like daylight!) I was definitely expecting to reduce it pretty low. Nah, not at all. Regular WD...

    Hikvision - replacement NVR

Bit more feedback - got the NI-I2 installed without issue. Worked a treat and great to see a whole raft of new features in there that my old box desperately needed! Fortunately, my brother had a couple of old 8TB drives he didn't need, so I have more than enough storage for months and months of...
