Help with instructions on dismantling GRIFEMA G4008 mixer tap to ease the twist of outlet

Hi old buffer, thanks for your reply. The photo / my description may not have been clear enough. The spout does not swivel on the nylon part you can see exposed. The grub screw fixes it to this part. The swivel is occurring with the nylon part in the bottom housing / mounting part. It is that...

Help with instructions on dismantling GRIFEMA G4008 mixer tap to ease the twist of outlet

Hi I fitted a GRIFEMA G4008 mixer tap in kitchen approx 3 years ago. For some time it has been difficult to turn the outlet and the whole tap starts moving. I'd like to strip the fitting down so I can clean and re grease / PJ to free it up. I'm hoping for some help on how it will come apart to...

Help identifying make / model of bath trap

Hi Sabato, that's what forums are for. The problem I had was mainly slow draining whilst showering when the plunger / plug was open, not when it was closed. Once I realised how the thing operated and that the trap was clean and clear I basically just had to put up with the rather slow drain...

Tado connection to Vaillant Ecotec Plus 831

Scratch that - of course the thermostat bit is battery powered duh, so no mains wiring required. Just the Common and NO.

Tado connection to Vaillant Ecotec Plus 831

The Tado will need a live and neutral to power it, just like the relay box it is replacing - I take it you have downloaded the install instructions with wiring info. Yes I got the extension off flee bay paid about £58 as they were obviously being snapped up by O2 tado buyers !

Tado connection to Vaillant Ecotec Plus 831

I'm an avid hotukdeals follower so bagged one for my new install - I'm fitting the extension kit too. It is just the wires on A & B that you connect to the Common and NO. they are dry contacts so doesn't matter which way.

Inviting quotes / installer for replacing BAXI back boiler with BAXI 630 Combi Reading area

Thanks gas112, agree, I don't need them to be accredited I just want to find someone who wants / is willing to fit what I want, which is the BAXI. So far I've been peddled Glow-worm and Ideal. Also yes ianmcd, I'll want the system properly flushed again prior to install, although it shouldn't be...

Tado connection to Vaillant Ecotec Plus 831

Looks fairly normal according to the combi wiring option. They just haven't run the permanent live feed to the boiler via the relay box. http://www.free-instruction-manuals.com/pdf/pa_458227.pdf I'm going to be fitting a a Tado myself when I get new boiler. I guess you got the bargain from O2?

Inviting quotes / installer for replacing BAXI back boiler with BAXI 630 Combi Reading area

Hi durhamplumber, it may very well do with some or no work, but it's as much the serviceability side as it is the certification. It's a pumped CH, gravity HW system and the boiler has a tendency to lockout when just being used for HW. I could pay to have it converted to fully pumped and I'm sure...

Inviting quotes / installer for replacing BAXI back boiler with BAXI 630 Combi Reading area

Hi, after 3 years in property coaxing the BAXI back boiler along I'm ready to replace it. Main reasons for replacing are I need a new boiler that can pass a gas safety test to be able to let out property if I choose in the future. Boiler to be fitted in Airing cupboard. 3 bed semi - one...

Help identifying brass fitting in flow from boiler

Thanks guys, further investigation with a mirror reveals an arrow pointing up, right way round :) containing a letter E. So an anti gravity valve it must be. As the rads upstairs do get warm in summer without shutting them off I can deduce it is stuck, not surprising after this time. I'll have...

Help identifying brass fitting in flow from boiler

Hi, I'm going to replace my CH pump. Whilst doing that I wondered what this fitting in the flow pipe from boiler was and what it is for and whether it would be worth replacing whilst the system is drained, it looks to have some seepage. Many Thanks

Looking for suitable 2 coil relay 2 pole relay to fix C plan boiler control issue

Hi Guy's sorry I did not reply sooner - I seem to only get one notification of a post after I've responded myself. In reverse order, yes I've fitted the Sunvic valve now, and agree with you going with the Honeywell V4043H would ave been the easier option. My main concern was any possible change...

Looking for suitable 2 coil relay 2 pole relay to fix C plan boiler control issue

Hi Simon, I might have not been clear, I've ordered the Finder relays and DIN mountings from Farnell - I've gone with a 95.95.3 mount which I hope is OK as that one is held as UK stock. I've reserved the Wylex DIN rail box from TLC. Whole lot should come to about £24. I've had a quick look and...

Looking for suitable 2 coil relay 2 pole relay to fix C plan boiler control issue

Hi Bernard, yes I think you are right 2 x single pole relays are going to work out cheaper and easier to source. I've deciphered that the relay in the picture is a Finder 40.61.8.240.0000 which is stocked by Farnell in UK. The DIN rail holder strangely Farnell has to ship in from the US so...

Looking for suitable 2 coil relay 2 pole relay to fix C plan boiler control issue

Hi oilhead, thanks for the reply. From the diagram I've found the RB2 looks to only be a single coil device. http://www.global-download.schneider-electric.com/mainRepository/EDMS_CORP5.nsf/69f5d72c7a0cf811c12573d800389503/04be9ef7b2e5e9ec852578a8006595fc/$FILE/DS21686_1205.pdf .
