Skirting and trim, how should they meet?

I thought I was being pretty clever here... I routed a sheet of mdf and fixed to a stud wall to act as a built in head board.... Plasterboarded rest of wall, skimmed, then..... Stood there looking at it scratching my head.. Not so clever..... Needs architrave/trim to cover the mdf/plasterboard...

Shower on/off handle, what a crock!

I tried that, but it looks a bit rubbish because the diameter of the current rod is more like m8... Can't find a replacement, not helped by not knowing who the rubbish manufacturer was! Need to find someone with a mini lathe....

Shower on/off handle, what a crock!

Here's a concealed shower valve flow control handle... Manufactured badly! The screw in handle doesn't have enough protruding thread to make contact with the valve spindle.... I've established it's an M5 thread, but how would I remove the excess material so a thread cutter would cut the...

Evosta circulating pump, what's going on?

The manuals for these pumps are a bit baffling... I think this is showing an error code -, flashing twice - in the casting a blocked rotor -, but when I isolate the pump and remove central plug, nothing else comes out.... In their trouble shooting videos you can remove a part and see the...

Flat roof profile - how to proceed?

Couldn't I just do horizontal battens and fix cladding to those? Then again, I guess 25mm batten isn't much to fix into...

Flat roof profile - how to proceed?

Thanks, wall is to be 4*2 stud, osb, wrap, battens, cladding (prob vertical treated 4*1)... I plan to run the cladding up to soffit, leaving a 10mm gap at top to allow ventilation behind cladding .... Some sort of bee/wasp proof grill here (and at bottom) would be good...

Flat roof profile - how to proceed?

Hi all. I'm about to start an outbuilding that will have a flat roof and can't decide how to tackle the roof profile... Building off a concrete slab, approx 6m x 6m. Walls are 4*2 stud. Roof will be on posi joists, furrings (though just reducing height timber screwed through onto top of...

Blacksmiths drill did the trick... Little bit of breakout, but that'll be covered when I chisel out the front plate bit... Disaster averted....

    And for todays f### up!

Hung over, think I'll squeeze in a quick job before running the kids around... Drill out door for a tubular latch with a 20mm bit, but latch is more like 23mm... Arrggggg! Is there such a thing as a 20mm for the meter tubular latch?
