The TV is Spanish, bought in El Corte Ingles in Madrid. I think it is an INVES LED-500 4KSMT 4K Ultra HD Smart TV but I doubt you'll find a manual, and less in English! But I appreciate the gesture. :)

Ok, so I tried with the phono cable but strangely, the TV only has the red phono output and no white?

Just checked and mine is A 2 IN 1 device. So the last thing left to try is the phono cable instead of the jack. Thanks for the assistance

This might well be the issue. I'm not sure if its a transmitter or a receiver. Thanks for that suggestion. I'll find out.

I did do that yesterday. But it still didn't sync, and in fact the speakers on the TV stayed on too. Maybe I need to drop the idea. :(

I powered up the bar and put it in sync mode but I have no idea how to put the dongle in sync mode.

I noticed that the Bluetooth dongle came with a jack cable and an output on the dongle. I guess that would make it the headphone module? I attached the cable from the dongle to the TV headphone socket. Still no connection. :(

I've just looked up the bluetooth module and that looks useful too. But I'm not sure if the sync issue would be solved that way.

Very Interesting. Will a signal reducing amplifier help? I currently use one to allow some TV channels to remain tuned in. Before the amp those channels were scrambled and it was my WiFi router that caused it.

Both the computer and the tablet are old enough, particularly the computer. If I can access the router via 192.168.1.1 could I change the channel etc? Would that work then?
