I’ve got a McAlpine 40mm bath trap which should screw on fully but as you can see the bath leg frame is in the way & is pushing it down a little which does not allow it to properly screw on? What’s the best way to go about this?
How exactly is this going together? Such as the x2 45 degree elbows where exactly are they going? Can you please explain it a little more on what’s going where?
I need to tile around a bath & one of the walls is plaster. I’ve got some SBR to put on before but how exactly do I use it, the ratio & how many coats? The tub says allow 10 minutes for the surface to become tacky then apply as normal?
So looking at the pic from the rigid pipe at the top I put an elbow then a pipe attached to that then another elbow at the bottom. That elbow at the bottom can I have it facing a little up (so towards the bath base) as I need to add a waste pipe on the other side coming down into it. Hope that...
Am I solvent welding to the rigid pipe? Also is it ok to put the elbow at a slight raised angle facing up so the incoming pipe from the middle of the tub can’t go straight on? (If that makes sense to you)
I’ve removed a shower tray & have installed a bath. I’ve got the trap ready to go on but how do I go about connecting pipework up to this? Obviously I will unscrew that old shower waste off.
Ok so I’ve already bought the Mapei 10kg fast set adhesive & have used it only for putting onto the taped joins on the hardiebacker board. This one says water resistant not waterproof. What should I do?
I’m looking at around 70-80mm screws due to spacing between board & wall. Apparently screw has to go in at least 5mm into the brick? Any particular brand of screw you’d recommend & should they be 5 or 6?
I have used an adhesive to stick it to the wall & would like to add screws to it to give it extra support as I don’t want to rely on just the adhesive. Which screws do I use?
I’ve got a McAlpine bath waste & it’s come with the two rubber seals one for the plug (which is the bigger one out of the two in pics) & the overflow. Which way around do I put them as the plug one has one side with loads of lines compared to the other side which has a slight dip with one line...
