Should these lines look like this..?

Hey John cheers for that, do you think I should get these bits checked out? To be honest I'm not even sure what they are but kinda look like they're coming loose. Wasn't sure if I should try pushing them back together. Thanks again.

Should these lines look like this..?

Hey everyone, I've been trying (and thus far failing) to change my fuel filter and have noticed this blue line on the right looks like it's coming loose and perhaps that green part should be fully inserted as on the left blue line, before I fiddle with anything - should this actually look like...

    Where are my spark plugs?

Hey everyone, I've taken it upon myself to try and do basic engine service on my car myself. I'm trying to teach myself how to do an oil change, fuel/oil/air/cabin filters, and obvious spark plugs. Stupid question but, are these (blue arrows) where my spark plugs are? Many thanks!

G9 LED bulbs that don't flicker?

Hey everone, just to update. I've tried out some Diall ones, they're much more chunky than the previous ones I was using and I think they've got more circuitry inside. The strobe effect is much much less noticeable and give off a much nicer light. They're a bit more expensive too but very much...

Best heat insulating wall vents for combi boiler central heating

Hey everyone, boiler is a glow worm 30 cxi, and here are a few pictures of our (unused) fire place and vents. Are there any easy to install and safe ways I can make these more insulated? I know we like safe ventilation and damp prevention but these parts of the house get really noticably...

Best heat insulating wall vents for combi boiler central heating

Hey everyone, we have a combi boiler which heats our radiators. Lovely. The only thing is we have big vents around the house which are just gaps in the brick, with an air brick on the outside and a sheet of metal on the inside. You can really feel how much colder it is where the vents are. So...

    Computer crashes/restarts when left unattended

Hey everyone, I run a windows memory diagnosis and it did state a hardware failure with the memory (weird as it is a very functional computer for the most part!) and the website I bought the parts from has adviced I return the RAM for their testing. Thanks for the comments I'll update as I know...

    Computer crashes/restarts when left unattended

Hey everyone, all power settings are set to not switch anything off and whatnot, and it's a fresh windows 10 install so no screen savers or adjusted display settings. I think it's some kind of hardware problem but I'm obviously not sure what, I put the components together myself so I know it's...

    Computer crashes/restarts when left unattended

Hey everyone, can anyone give me any ideas for fixing this weird problem. I use my computer generally, browing the internet and what not and it's fine. If however I leave my computer unattended for perhaps ten minutes or more I'll come back to it and it will have either restarted itself, so it's...

G9 LED bulbs that don't flicker?

Ah thanks for the replies, I do totally agree sometimes you've just got to trial and error and see what works and go from there. Interesting to report, I don't think they're described as dimmable but I tried them with a dimmer switch with some very interesting results! They do dim, sort of...

G9 LED bulbs that don't flicker?

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies! Apologies I didn't state this previously, I'm talking about a wall light fixing, so 240 odd volts and 220-240 volt bulbs at five watts each.

G9 LED bulbs that don't flicker?

Hey everyone, I bought a pack of G9 LED 5 watt bulbs and they have a noticable high frequency flicker effect. The light is alright to see generally but it's when you look at something moving is had that strange 'low frame rate' effect. I've replaced b22, gu10 and e14 bulbs with LED with no...

Righto, so really it's supposed to be a label for the little hooks which a traditional hanging wire/lampshade whould support? Thanks for the replies.

What's the 'Strain' hole template for on celing rose?

I've possibly got my termanologies mixed up, I was thinking of attaching my light fitting to the hold marked strain seen here, but wasn't sure if it had a specific purpose and isn't a good idea to do so. As it happens the screw hole in the light fitting lines up perfectly with it.

What's the 'Strain' hole template for on celing rose?

Anyone know what the hole labled strain is for on a ceiling light rose? Would I get away with screwing my light fitting into it to hold it up? Kinda sounds like what it might be for but would like to double check what it's actually for first. Cheers guys.
