ok thanks... how harmful is this though to your system/ combi boiler/pump? how does it work?, i'm guessing it must react to something to seal the leak.. ( e.g. contact with air)

I have exactly the same problem. new boiler installed and everything seemed ok, I then went to install a new bathroom including 3 new rads around the house and the pressue in the closed central heating circuit keeps dropping... it'll take about a week for the system to drop from 1 bar to 1/2...

So you would recommend real wood? personally i'm not too bothered about price :roll: all i'm concerned about it that the stuff lasts and doesn't get all dog eared and scratched 5 years down the line... If it mean spending a little more in the beginning then it' on with that..
