    Stone slate batten gauge help!

I'm after some help, a roofer has provided me with the batten gauge after I supplied details of my roof. I've managed fine up to the point where there's more than one course and then my brain has given up. Can someone please tell me what measurement from the eaves up to each batten where...

    Wandsworth two way light switch?

Wow, I’d assumed they’d be long gone as the switch is quite old. I will do thanks.

Does anyone know if those old industrial Wandsworth switches came with two way modules?

    Relay or contact or available?

it is but vaillant didn’t know what I was trying to achieve and therefore stated their kit was not compatible hence me trying to find a solution to positively isolate their kit when the occupancy sensor kicks in.

    Relay or contact or available?

Either source will trigger feed to pump but to isolate voltage to the other (I’m thinking of protecting the expensive vaillant electronics)

    Relay or contact or available?

I think I might have an spdt contactor that would fulfil what you’re describing but am head scratching at the wiring which suggests only one supply voltage across a1 and a2?

    Relay or contact or available?

    They’re both 230v sources

    Relay or contact or available?

I’d like to be able to take two 230v feeds to one output, do I need a contractor for this? One input is from a vaillant vr71 to control a secondary pump and the other from an occupancy sensor. I would like both to be able to control a single pump. I was thinking a contractor but they all seem...

    Inhibitor dosing device?

Sealed system. Idea is to release pressure and drain a small amount off and open valve and use to fill with inhibitor (highest point in the system). Reason is I will be making many changes to the system and inevitably draining and refilling the system many times over.

    Inhibitor dosing device?

I’m likely to be making multiple changes to my four zone heating system over the coming months and wondered if there’s an easy way to keep re dosing the system. I was considering an open tundish and valve to allow for easy dosing? something similar to below?

Secondary Return Pump kicking in and out (with video)

Is the pump new hence the gate valve having stuck when you closed it to install the pump? It might be worth changing those valves out for something like a butterfly valve as they don’t tend to cause issues when you need to use them in the future. if it were mine I’d want to check for the...

    Vaillant sensohome and secondary return

Is it better to wire the secondary pump in to the boiler and control it via the sensohome system (if this is even possible?) or just to run it to a timer separate to the boiler? boiler is a vaillant ecotec plus 630 thanks

    Vaillant unistor secondary return

Is it possible to install a secondary return on the 200 litre model of the unistor? The instructions only make reference to the 250 and 300 litre models but the connections are identical across the range from what I can gather.

Minimum pipe diameter for internal AAV

I've had a quick search but I think mine is an anomoly that might not have been asked before. I have an old brick built septic tank with an interceptor trap with it's original Victorian plug still in place, therefore does not pass foul air back up the soil from the tank. Adjacent to this is the...

GJD Dygizone - dusk to dawn and sensor query

Had a chat with a very helpful chap at GJD, the system does not have a built in photocell capability but we discussed the possibility of setting an artificially early time, for instance 1600, then including a photocell in the load side of the relay to the external lights, seems plausible?
