Dried out grout from the tiles

I'm wondering whether this will help remove the grout from the tiles.. Has anyone used this on porcelain tiles? It says it doesn't scratch the surface As the grout dried quickly I couldn't wipe it with the sponge and I now have around 0.5mm streaks of grout along the lines.. (haze is when...

Dried out grout from the tiles

Thanks.. I will check.. I'm reluctant to use any chemicals as I don't want the grout to be weakened.. unless I'm being paranoid and someone tells me otherwise

Dried out grout from the tiles

It's not the haze actually, it's a thin layer of grout around the lines.. just wondering if an orbital sander with a scouring pad will speed things up?

Dried out grout from the tiles

Hi folks, Made a school boy error and left the grout on too long before sponging it (yes I'm cursing myself too).. what is the easiest way to clean the grout from the tiles? I have used wet scouring pads and it's pure taking ages.. I don't want to use any chemicals which would result in the...

    Adhesive and Grout

You have the decoupling membrane so you are good.. however I would still recommend you to get S1 adhesive.. something like Mapei Keraflex S1 or Keraquick.. as it's flexible and works with UFH. (think TileGiant do it) for grout you can color match the ones from Mapei Ultracolor plus... I have...

    UFH and temperature probe conduit

No, the probe is fitted to the edge in between the two wires..chasing the floor boards would weaken it resulting in movement which is not good for tiling.. I'm trying to workout: 1) if anyone else was in the same position and what did they do? 2) the odds of probe failing so I can install it...

    UFH and temperature probe conduit

It's the old tongue and grove wooden floor with 6mm No More Ply boards on which the UFH mat will go.. I am not using the insulation boards because: It would raise the floor by the time it's tiled and result in a step at the door The No More Ply boards are insulative too So I can chase the 6mm...

    UFH and temperature probe conduit

Any thoughts folks? I could install it without the conduit but fear if the probe goes faulty.. its game over.. What are the odds of the probe going faulty? Has anyone changed the probe? How easy/hard it is when it's in the conduit?

    UFH and temperature probe conduit

Hi all, Have laid the Premium Pro brand UFH in the living room which will be tiled over.. just can't work out how I install the conduit for the temperature probe as it's around 18mm. I have seen videos where they chase the insulation board but feel it would still sit proud. I have the old...

Blanking off the radiator for re-decoration.

I've had really bad experience with push fit and since then steered away from them.. I know folk would vouch for push fits and it needs to be fitted well. You are right about the 25mm, I'd leave it off if I didn't need the hot water while I'm re-decorating so a compromise could be the 25mm...

Blanking off the radiator for re-decoration.

The tiles run on a sequence from the hall therefore I am unable to position them to suit the radiator pipes. I have a drain at the lowest point through the garage so draining is not an issue.. I was hoping while I'm redecorating, I could leave the radiators off but still be able to use hot water
