Yes RGBW led strip is rated at 10.8w per meter.. I have 17 meter strip which is 183w plus 10% for voltage drop therefore total is 201watts

Well spotted @EFLImpudence It's a typo.. I meant Earth.. The point about Neutral confused matters.. I just needed to understand the behaviour of a smart switch when powered thorough an existing light switch.

Thanks @mcprinter .. if you ever turn off the switch on wall, when you turn on, do all lights come on or does it remember the last position? If the answer to that is yes, I can wire them to the existing switch, if not then best to wire them to unswitched feed
