My Builder is digging out for my extension and dumping tons of earth on my back lawn Neighbours are complaining.

This is the act of a cowboy builder. You are only at the digging holes stage. What's he going to be messing up once it gets to the trickier stages? I'd be concerned.

    No seeing general discussions

It's a shame this is needed (and I totally get why it is needed). There's some interesting sounding topics, then you click on them and it's the same dozen or so people having the same argument, often totally unrelated to the subject title. Of course, I could not click on them but maybe I'm too...

    Confused with Aqua Panel

The panels are great. Ours are a waterproof MDF based material and easy to cut. I used a corner trim they slotted into and some special trims for the bottom that overlap the tray. Much better than tiles. Easy to clean, too. Can't see me ever tiling a shower again.

    9mm MDF for Cabinet Doors

MDF is pretty stable so it should be good. Regular MDF will warp if it gets damp. I'd use MR MDF for anything in the kitchen, in fact I use it for any job instead of regular MDF as it cuts much better and isn't as soft.

    Repairing an asbestos roof

Flash band works ok. Use the primer to get it to stick. Not a proper job but it'll keep the water out for a few more years.

    Insulate wooden shed

"Why would you want to insulate a shed?" Why insulate any building. It keeps it warmer in winter and cooler in summer. I've insulated mine and it's much better for it.

Buying used wheels with tyre on.

When you buy a car it comes with 4 (or 5) second hand wheels with second hand tyres unless you buy a brand new car with zero miles. Always worth a good inspection but I wouldn't automatically write it off

Circular saw with concrete cutting blade

Yep, plenty out there. Just search for a diamond blade. You should be able to get a 20mm bore but some are bigger and may come with a adapter. It'll probably be working the saw quite hard so go slowly and let the saw do the work, don't force it. You may need to make a few shallow passes. It'll...

Front Porch a meter from boundary?

As I understand it the restriction is only if it is within 2m of a boundary with a highway, a boundary with a neighbour is not an issue. I may have it wrong but that was my reading of the rules.

Easy method to fill this large gap?

As far as I can tell it's a soil pipe coming up from a wooden floor behind a toilet. You can't just pour filler in as the void under the wooden floor is open. Have you got any tile offcuts? If not maybe you can get a single tile as a sample that is close enough. Then some careful cutting with...

Cheap way to watch TV with no aerial?

Cheapest option would be an hdmi lead to connect the laptop or even phone to the TV. Only a few quid. Chromecast works well enough, control content via WiFi with your phone. Lots of other streaming boxes. Depends what channels you want but most do the basic free (with adverts) channels. Or...

    Commission at auction houses

It is, but it's not always clear. It's obviously done deliberately and is pretty disingenuous

Shower cubicles for log cabin.. freestanding cubicle?

We had one in a b and b we stayed in. Literally free standing, you could move it with light shove. Seemed to work though.

    Vaillant combi boiler problem

When ours did something similar it was the flow sensor. Not sure on that exact model but on on ours it's a little impeller that spins when the water flows and that triggers the heat. Except it was gummed up with limescale and spun erratically. A quick clean and all was good.

Amateur DIYer - need a bit of guidance, thanks

Have a look at tape and joint plasterboard. Basically you run tape on the joint then filler over the tape. Relatively easy for a diyer to get an acceptable finish. Same filler (easifil) over the screw heads. You can then paint straight onto the boards. The key is to use proper plasterboard...

    Battery chain saw

I've got a couple. A mid sized Stihl which is great. Goes through anything quickly and quietly. Also got a stupidly cheap pruning saw eBay special. It's small and takes Makita batteries (that I already have). Not as nice as the Stihl but it was £20. Goes through any branch I've encountered. It...

    Workshop Mk2

Looks good. Very similar to how I built mine. I didn't bother with fancy bent corners in the rebar, I just overlapped the ends to form a cross, but it's been fine for over 10 years now. My pour did not go that well. It took two trucks and there was a long delay between them on a very hot day...

    Flat roof permitted development height

Why isn't there a height on the drawing? Then the planners would've approved (or not) the height you actually want. How close is it? They won't be coming round to check unless you have awkward neighbours.

Can you screw plasterboard to brickwork?

You can screw the boards if you want. You need self tapping masonry screws and a well sized pilot hole but it does work. Screw-Tite screws will do it

Advice needed - laying fossil slabs

That first image looks shocking, all over the place. The pattern is interesting, not random or ordered, somewhere in the middle. I suppose that is a personal preference. Not what I would choose but I don't especially mind it. Definitely the wrong pattern for those slabs as it highlights the...
