Hi,
I've got this half converted office space at the end of garage that it would be sinful to not convert given it shouldnt be too much work and summer is just around the corner. While i'd say i'm fairly handy with tools (got to build a fence this week), i have little knowledge on what's needed for doing interior type jobs.
I've added a few photos, first couple of for context, then as per label
"A" -seems i need to add insulation blocks to some areas, then what do i apply on top? I'd rather not have to plaster but just attach some kind of board (would plaster board be ok) then paint over the top and leave it as that - is fine? I get there may be screw visible but am fine with that. What's rule of thumb for ordering such board - get 20% to account for irregularities and a a need to discard some. Screw the board in, nails or glue?
"B" - seems previous owner has already done this wall. Similar to "A" - is this just plaster board that i can paint over? Board looks pretty flush with the elec switches so not sure could plaster even if wanted to
"C" - what's need on the floor. Jet wash, put some kind of foundation layer down (needs to be glued?) then put flooring in on top? looking to go cheap but still use wooden planks - these are just fixed with floor adhesive then clicked in?
"D" - probably dont need to do the roof right now as summer round the corner (it gets lots of sun), but if was, do i need to same as "A": insulation blocks then screw in some kind of board on top of the to the wooden frame?
Do let me know if any other tasks i should be aware of.
Thank you!
