I use 1p for my present mobile. Am considering buying new mobile and keeping the same number etc. How do I do this, is it just a matter of switching the SIM Card

I have a pensioner friend who would like to buy a mobile 'phone. This would be used only for making emergency calls and (maybe) texts. Would be grateful for advice on a decent (cheap) PAYG machine to suit him.

Can any-one recommend a basic machine that I could use as a standby in case of trouble with my Win Machine. This would be used mainly for searching, emailing etc. I would prefer a keyboard and mouse but I currently use a "crossover" switch for this purpose. Many thanks.

My old printer worked OK on my UBUNTU (back-up) machine. The printer has now gone caput. I have a Canon TS3355 printer I would like to use on UBUNTU. Would appreciate a nice easy way I can set this up this please.

I notice there a few VHS Recorders without remotes advertised. As posted elsewhere, I am looking for one to copy old tapes to CD. Do I need a remote for this purpose (am quite happy pressing buttons on the machine!!)

OK. have discovered (in the loft!) a Humax PVR 9200T, which would appear to be suitable for one half of the job. As you say (TD) there are plenty of VHS recorders on ebay. It would seem I'm half way there!

I have some old VHS tapes I would like to transfer to CD disks. Am presuming I need to load VHS into a VHS tape player then connect to a CD recorder. I have the CD player but is the only way to obtain a VHS player through a "used" source ?
