Yeh theres no asbestos in the roof/loft. Im assuming its just remove old soffits/facias, make sure rafters etc are aound, cut and fit new ones one. Obviously a bit more too it, but generally is that it?

Hi I am finally going to fit soffit downlighters in my bungalow. Im thinking about either a sealed unit, & a dusk to dawn sensor, or was wondering if I could fit Hive GU10 bulbs & be able to control the lights from my phone. Is this a viable option?

I have a fair bit of moss on my roof that I would like rid of. The roof tiles are concrete (I think). Do you think its safe for me to get up on the roof to scrape the moss off? I noticed my neighbour across the road doing his but his tiles look different to mine.

Currently they are both one gang, but when I switch any switch on, both lights come on. All I want is each switch to operate one light only. The front door switch to operate the front door end only, and the far end switch to operate the far end only

No, what Im after is each light to only work off its own switch

Well one light is at front door and the other is up other end round the corner, right next to my little boys bedroom. Its just a pain in the darker nights when I put the light on when I answer the front door, but it lights up the whole hall way at other end too.

Okay so if its in the airing cupboard, would I have to tee in where I said earlier, but run pipes back down to pump, then back up to re-connect where I teed in?

I am hopefully going to fit soffit downlighter before the darker nights come. When feeding the wires through, going from light to light, can I just push them along & fish out & next hole or will there be roof joists that I might hit? Would it be easier doing it from the loft side?

Just been in loft and forgot my phone! Its a metal barrel coming through the tank with the arm held on with a split pin. Very basic. Ive bent it down as best I could but its solid and hard to bend. Its stopped it trickling out so Ill keep an eye on it
