    Sagging cold water cistern

The tank should be on a flat base such as 19mm ply wood and this should be a minimum of 100mm bigger than the tank all round. You could try placing the old tank on a new base but be prepared that it may split. Is the water warm in the tank? If so you need a plumber sooner rather than later. Steve

Do you have a clod water storage tank in the loft? If so it's most likely the ball valve on the tank that needs replacing.

The boilers are 24kW Potterton combis. Cider, I don't think that you are right as the boilers are only using 24kW when hot water is demanded.

    Ravenheat Littlestar LS80 - LS0T

Hi The plate heat exchanger is around £40 and an hours labour would be fair. The existing one can be removed and cleaned with an acid (Used for power flushing/cleaning a central heating system. This will take slightly longer but you have no parts to pay for.

    Plumbing a freestanding bath

These type of baths normally provide a flexible waste and usually the outer shell is deeper than the inner shell which allows the waste to run in the void. You then simply cut a hole in the outer shell to allow the waste pipe to pass through in the required position. Hope this helps.

    Ravenheat Littlestar LS80 - LS0T

Sounds like the secondary heat exchanger to me. It can easily be replaced or if you know what to do it can also be cleaned.

    Electric oven clearances

Thanks for your replies guys. The reason I ask this question is because I have just had a kitchen fitted with a space of 505mm left between the base units. The adjacent wall units only have a space of 450mm between them, which means that they would slightly overhang the cooker. The cooker to be...

The pump should have it's own water supplies ie, cold directly from a separate supply from cold water storage tank in the loft. Hot via a surrey flange direct from the cylinder. This is the correct method of installation so that if another outlet(tap) is opened elsewhere in the house, the...
