Limestone - removing stain and sealing

Quick update - just spoke to the supplier and the marble was treated with LITHOFIN STAINSTOP. I guess I need to ring the manufacturer to get a recommendation on how to remove the stain.

Limestone - removing stain and sealing

Thanks for that. I am hoping that the stain has not gone that deep. When the stone is dry it is hardly visible, but it does get worse when it gets wet again. It seems to be slowly getting better so maybe some form of treatment may help remove the final residue. I will definitely seal it asap to...

Limestone - removing stain and sealing

Hi all, I am hoping you can help me out. I recently installed my bathroom which includes two pieces of Moleanos Limestone. Unfortunately within the first week I was stupid enough to put my wet shampoo bottle onto it and forgot to remove it and I now have a dark outline where it sat. Does...

Rubbol Satura plus White - looks like a lilac/purple?????

I should also say that the finish is really very nice. The paint does have a habit of running, but that is easily solved with good technique. However the finish is almost like plastic, very smooth and tactile to the touch. I also ended up using this on my kitchen tiles (with an appropriate...

Solid Wooden Floor Renovated - light streaks in a dark floor

thanks all. We are have just put a coloured wax oil down on the area to take the edge off of it and that seems to make it less jarring to the eye. The floor is also not sticky anymore - which is great. @Ken - I think you are probably right in the floor being different species. I am not sure...

The floor is also still sticky even though it is now 32 hrs since it has been left to dry in a semi (18 degree) warm room.

Solid Wooden Floor Renovated - light streaks in a dark floor

Also - the floor is really dark vs before it was oiled. The oil used was Osmo High Solid Clear Matt. Is it usual for there to be such a dramatic change in colour or will this settle as it dries? It has only been left for about 30hrs since the final coat.

Solid Wooden Floor Renovated - light streaks in a dark floor

Hi All, I just had my wooden floor renovated and would like some advice on blending in a couple of very very light streaks in the wood. 3 different professionals could not identify the wood, suggestions were that it was Teak, Iroko, Walnut or maybe a combination of different woods...

Potential disaster...shower outlets in tiled wall - help!

All amazing replies - I think I will try the epoxy or liquid PTFE. The extension is a great idea that I may use on the rainfall part instead of screwing the arm in further.

Potential disaster...shower outlets in tiled wall - help!

just had another attempt and managed to force 4 full turns out of the elbow. I think 4 seems like it should be satisfactory if I use PTFE tape. What is everyone elses views?

Potential disaster...shower outlets in tiled wall - help!

I am fitting my bathroom and have an issue with the shower elbow. The feed to the elbow is a 15mm female 90 degree connector screwed in place behind the wall. The pipe was pushed right up against the Marmox backing board to allow easy installation, however my tiler has done a great job, and has...
