    Rosemary tiles question

Hi guys Ive got a bay canopy to cover, and i was thinking of using rosemary tiles, but with it being a splayed bay, how do you cover the angles? - i know you can use normal roof ridges cut down but i think they always look a mess, so what else can i do? or are there any other small or thin...

How many notches allowed in solid joists?

thanks mate, i was thinking personally, that id check with my BCO and if i can just put several notches in the allowed space, that should be fine anyway as its using the same logic as for holes, and i cant see how the BCO can argue with that but as already said - its a grey area.

5m tails from meter, and is isolator required?

if he signs that form, then i assume hes intelligent enough to know whether he should sign for it all or not. I never said i was installing the tails, i will almost certainly run all the cables around the house on his advice so ive no need to worry about being compliant, he is going to see it...

5m tails from meter, and is isolator required?

thank you mate, i can do this as a last resort. The meter box is right outside the kitchen - i was just looking at ways to avoid having the CU in a kitchen cupboard when theres a utility room next door. The meter box would have gone outside the utility room but there will be a lot of pipework...

5m tails from meter, and is isolator required?

well id imagine he takes responsibility for the installation is the gist - which is what im paying him for. He will do whatever he needs to do to sign it so hes taking that stress off of me. Hes been doing it long enough and for a lot bigger customers than me so i dont see an issue with it.

i dont understand mate, all the electrics will need to be signed off at the end of the job- whats dubious about it? i will be asking him when i can, but i also like to understand how things work myself thats all. And if tails are not allowed to be left behind plasterboard, that means ill have...
