I need it to be wider than 200mm, 280 is ideal. Would it be a good solution to glue and dowel two 150x50 bits https://www.atlantictimber.co.uk/pine-planed-all-round-150mm-x-50mm-6-x-2-up-to-3m.html and cut it to size with my plung saw and rail? I plan to paint it white.

There are 3 shelves, length vary. They're around 2m long. When you say at least half an inch thickness in the wood, are you referring to the plywood?

Sanding and re-staining a toilet seat

I meant wood dye. I'm a bit confused, sorry. So just to double-check, having sanded my toilet seat made of oak (which came in mahogany finish) it is now stripped back to its natural wood colour. What's the best way to refinish it in mahogany and what should I use to achieve that. Wood dye...

Having searched far and wide, the vanity units I could find for sale looked cheap but were darn expensive. having one built for me was over £1k and that was 3 years ago. I am afraid my cabinet-building skills aren't up to the task so building...

    Fixing a cut aerial cable

I don't mind buying good and more expensive cable. I just want to get it somewhere local so that I don't have to wait ages for it. It just occurred to me to ask, when getting the cable to extend the cut areal cable, do I need to use the same type of cable for the extension?

    Fixing a cut aerial cable

I'm not fixed on getting the cable at screwfix. I'm happy to get it elsewhere and look for a cable with copper conductors. From what I read RG6 is the best cable for the job. Is that right? And if so I can look this cable with copper conductors elsewhere.
