Hi, we have a terraced house and the party wall to the neighbour in the outside yard is beyond repair. im wondering can we have a single skin block wall, the length is approx 24ft and height is 5ft. if we can do we need piers etc and at what spacings. Thanks for any help contributed

strange isnt it, i honestly thought they were guaranteed to fail without inserts. But i think the speedfit PEX pipe is pretty solid enough without them as when i insert them i dont really see or feel the difference but its worth using them just for the peace of mind.

thats the funny thing, they have a combi system installed and still no leaks.

Fitted a new bathroom suite suite today and swapped the plastic pipe over for copper. NO INSERTS USED but its been there for years the customer told me and never had leaks... Any opinions on this as i was under the assumption they would leak with no inserts. thanks

As the title says weve got a 30 yr old stopcock and the main pipe is plastic coloured black and im assuming 20mm??? Its got a slight weep from the bottom nut and weve tried wrapping tape around both olives top and bottom and still the same problem. So im thinking time for a new stopcock...
