Did some plumbing now tundish is running

We did wonder about a bad seal and bounced it a few times to no avail. Having said that it has now settled down and is not passing water. Son is looking to getting it swapped next week.

Did some plumbing now tundish is running

Looks like the 6 Bar PRV / 3.5 Bar Limit on the mains inlet has gone faulty. Don't believe it has an air gap as it has an expansion vessel. EV is out of shot top right. This is my son's house. The are looking for a certificated person.

Did some plumbing now tundish is running

Previously posted this https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/need-to-tee-off-this.480621 So..we turned off the cold main, open up the cold tap, waited for it to stop running, did the plumbing. Turned the main back on, checked for water tightness, all good. Teeing off is achieved. Outside tap will...

    Need to tee off this

Understood, seems the way to go. I think I can get in there and achieve that. I will for sure, re-use the coupling but just wondering if it would be MI with a flexi attached to it. The flexi probably came with the tap from the continent so could the coupling be a 15 mm to 10mm with the 10mm nut...

    Need to tee off this

Wise thinking but the toilet supply is all really nicely boxed in together with the 110mm waste. If we grabbed the supply where it is exposed beneath the cistern then as we run along the wall to go and exit to the outside to the outside world then we are blocked by the boxing as it covers the...

    Need to tee off this

I need to tee off this cold feed at the back of a downstairs vanity basin to get a feed for an outside tap. What is the fitting that has been used to connect the 15mm to the flexi ? What is the best way to get a 15mm tee from here ? The 15mm drops down from above in a stud wall. There is a...

New pump but boiler stops firing before room temperature is reached.

I use a digital laser one. It was about £15 from Screwfix. I believe it is quite accurate. Works a treat on white painted radiators.

    Shower hose WRAS restraining ring

Just wondering, do 'The Trade' fit these rings ? https://www.wras.co.uk/consumers/resources/interpretations_and_advice/backflow_prevention/b20/ Seems sensible but prevents someone washing their hair over the bath.

Is this a pressure relief valve?

It's probably been like it for a long time. They just tend to dribble.

Is this a pressure relief valve?

Its an Automatic Air Vent. They have a limited life as they get crudded up and fail. I changed 2 yesterday for my neighbour on his heating system. You may need a certificated plumber to work on you Megaflow. Others on here will tell you.

    Dual Flush questions

I have an Ideal Standard Playa toilet and cistern. Recently installed. The flush mechanism has one large plate to activate a flush but with a plastic lever to the side which also gets pushed by the full flush button. The cistern is branded as 6/4 litre. Exactly what does that mean ? I thought...

HETAS log burner smoking in bedroom

How about sticking some smoke pellets in the wood burner and then putting a USB camera up the bedroom fireplace ? You should be able to get a long USB cable. At least you could conduct your own safe investigation at minimum cost. Using the pellets would absolutely rule out the flue oil question.

how do i secure solid glass panel to shower base

My shower glass came with a 'U' channel to slide the glass into. This channel was siliconed down to the shower base. I did buy from here so that I could fit a 'U' channel down the exposed, free edge, because although it looked minimalistic it was difficult to relate to the edge and to therefore...

Strange LPG Issue - Not sure who to call...

Sound like you are close to resolving your problem, but I'll share my experience. I have a bulk tank and a long underground run at high pressure, with the final reducing regulator installed in a box on the house wall. I had issues with the regulator at the house tripping, it has a pressure...
