cutting tiles around a quadrant shower tray

Don't tile under the tray, it needs to be on cement/18mm ply etc. I do what Graemevw does with the diamond wet wheel cutter (£40 job from B&Q will do). Just keep slicing and filing and offering up to check.

Diamond core drill Bosch or Makita confused over wattage

Interesting thanks, I was swaying towards the Bosch. What about the input wattage/power output wattage I'm still confused, is it the manufacturers making it look more powerful than it actually is like when buying speakers, eg RMS/PMPO etc.

Diamond core drill Bosch or Makita confused over wattage

I've been looking at these for a few months now and last thursday decided to get the Makita 8406 from Plumbfix thinking it would be delivered the next day. Disapointingly it wasn't and found out I had to wait until today (29th) for delivery. I waited for Parcel Farce all day but nothing, I'm...

    Purchasing quality drill bits online

Don't buy the Silverline rubbish from Toolstation, they drill one hole and then bend. You can even bend them in your hand.

    Plasterers in...only 1 skim?

Hi We have some plasterers in today skimming a newly plasterboarded bedroom (dot & dab), they were done in no time and the finish is great. They did however only skim over once with quite a thin coat as its already starting to dry. I was under the impression it was 2 skims for new...

Powerflusher changed direction of CH pump: which is right?

I would love to be a fly on the wall if you phoned him to ask if he could turn the pump round again! You may need a trip to casualty to have the pump surgically removed.

Is the basin near the toilet? Last time I had this problem customer swore blind it was from the toilet but was infact coming from a crinkled washer in the anti siphon basin trap vent.

    Still Can't Remove Tap Cartridge

Anti clockwise is the right way to remove, if the socket is a good fit and it doesn't slip then its not being given enough force. 9 times out of 10 a Bacho adjustable gets them off.
