What if the roof terrace isnt directly over the roof, ie one OVER a patio area and attached to side of house. Would PP still be required if it didnt overlook anyone

its beyond a joke, i disagree its purely a installation issue. No boilder manual i have seen mentions protecting the waste pipe... you would need to build up a box around it and fill with insu to do it properly... Garden Taps are well know to freeze and need protecting and they dont BLOODY...

hi, i am laying some wood flooring onto chipboard in a room that is situated above a rather cold garage.. i want to put a plastic vb down first onto the cboard then lay underlay as normal. Could someone link me a vapour barrier that would be suitable and whats the best way to fix it down...

just done this, i stuck 170 mineral wool in the joists and put up some large sheets of celotex directly under the joists and pinned them up, this keep the wool from dropping out... then taped the joints with alui tape and boarded over with fireboard using extra long plasterboard screws. oh...

i caught my decorator using white matt wall paint as a pre gloss undercoat! apparently he got taught to do this at college!!! he was glossing doorframes and sanded down bannisters i take it this isnt the correct method!?!?

i take it you havent living in one of these houses Woody? Its either improve or move, no option. I batterned and filled inbetween with Kingspan foam board then plastered. Much improved warmth and damp.
