I have a 1900's Victorian terraced flat. The flat downstairs is occupied by some of England’s lovely lower-class. I get the smells and smoke coming through from this flat below. When they where stripping wall paper with a steamer I got really bad water damage to my painted walls caused by water running down them, all from their steam. I am putting down some laminate flooring shortly and I was wondering if I could put down some kind of moisture barrier or sheeting down to stop the smells etc coming up?
