hi, i am laying some wood flooring onto chipboard in a room that is situated above a rather cold garage.. i want to put a plastic vb down first onto the cboard then lay underlay as normal.

Could someone link me a vapour barrier that would be suitable and whats the best way to fix it down? cut it down to manable bits and tape it?

thanks for any advice

Don't use DPM over chipboard! Condensation between plastic (DPM) and the chipboard due to temperature differences could/will cause moist problems.

Best would be to use Timbermate Duratex (rubbery underlayment for insulation without DPM)
