:D first thanks for all the help, i got there in the end. firstly i went and got a 10mtr rj11 [ i now know what one is eggplant :) ] put that into main bt socket via a filter and other end into modem, and it worked ok/ ...........so unplugged it and put double socket in its place / reduced...
