sounds like dhw flow switch is dodgy and you must have a leak somewhere if boiler needs topping up all the time

when temp rises to max the gas valve mods down to keep temp below cut off point.if min gas pressure on gas valve isnt set properly it cant mod down enough , so cuts off until temp has reduced.generally happens on weak flow rates on cold main.

sounds like trvs without the heads.

in that case it could be scaled heatx or thermistor.

i bet your cold main is weak pressure.

min gas pressure setting on the gas valve. you need a rgi to test and set.

how long does it take and how much do you want.

you will probably find that if you leave the tap running it will get hot again once the temp has cleared the boiler

as temp increases boiler cant modulate down enough , so cuts out.

its only set high enough to stop water ingress and blockage from snow.

min gas pressure is not set to correct setting on gas valve possibly . get an engineer to test it.

i fit a lot of baxi duo tecs.They seem to have had their test period I dont get any problems and they are a fair priced band A boiler.
