I have used the two zones on the keypad and mapped them to zones on the panel. These are just surface mounted magnetic contacts. I have tested the circuits with a Megger - all working well. When I look in Wintex diagnostics it show tamper alarm on these zones. Is this correct/normal...

Thanks scotsgraeme I emailed Texecom support and they said Cst O/P 2.B-CODE – If this option is enabled and the panel is armed and then the entry is started on the panel and the user enters the code this will give an error beep and indicate that a tag is required to disarm the system.

In summer we have the air con running in the bedroom which tends to drown out most noises. That's the reason for searching for an alternative. Did think about placing an wireless external sounder inside somewhere. Seems strange a wireless internal is not available.
