    1st fix

Just measured and I think it will be about 100mm from the block then he is putting insulation board in-between. Reason for the distance from the block is there are gas pipes along that wall ( Garage conversation )

I'm training to be a spark.. and this is on my own house.. so I'm...

    Extending twin and earth

Thanks everyone... I like the heat shrink idea, but I've got a few maintenance free JBs here.. as long as that's fine I'll go with that. The cable is up in the ceiling so heat shrink would be a pain..

    Extending twin and earth

Hi all, Trainee here.. just wanted to ask a question. Wall being knocked through and made into a door into the garage. There is a radial 2.5mm in the way and some 1.5mm lighting circuit. So I need to extend the cables to get them out the way. Am I okay jointing with a maintenance free JB...

    Wiring for Shed

Hi All.. I'm not able to pull the SWA for a few months now.. But before the builders start this week I do need to come out the CU and into a adaptable box outside for when I do. We are going with 6mm, so can I just use...

    Wiring for Shed

I think regardless, I will be coming through the wall direct to the CU.. just looked at the regs and there is no need for fire sealant, although I may use some anyway. I think I'll just use the double insulated SWA tails directly into the board rather than joint with the FP.

    Wiring for Shed

Hi, No the CU is in the garage.. but will be running it to the shed.. I did think of doing as you suggested, but with the CU being where it is, I thought I would add a designated circuit.

    Wiring for Shed

Good morning all.. Just wanted to ask for some advice. Running power to my shed from my consumer unit..(I know it is notifiable) I will be running 6mm armoured, so I come out of my CU with some 6mm FP I have and straight through the wall to the back of the house, I then use a JB to joint to...

    No Power - Dishwasher

Hi all, I have a S58T40X0GB/45 Neff Integral dishwasher. It stopped mid wash and now has no power.. Plug top is fine and is fuse and outlet. I wondered if it was an internal fuse, but after researching Neff don't have internal thermal fuses. If I'm correct, I need a new control board.. but...

    Panel Wallpaper

Just stripped the old wallpaper.. and the previous guy who stripped the other wall paper has left scrapes all over the wall.. (Supposed professional) I have just filled with filler and will sand out.. it's a new build so the walls are pretty smooth.. Will I need lining paper?

    Panel Wallpaper

Hi all.. I have a wall 4300 long and have panel wall paper 530 in width.. so just over 8 lengths needed. Any advice as this wall paper has a panel pattern on it like below.. do I still start in the middle and add a little 50mm slither at the ends? Also I have some drywall filler that has...
